This was The Philosophers' Yard's first series. It covered the topic of “Individualism and Collectivism”. In this first session, Dr Herjeet Marway talked to us about the Philosophical Perspectives of Self that underpin these two perspectives and Ana Franca-Ferreira discussed the work they do at Citizens UK and how it relates to finding collective aims within individual aims.
This event started and ended with a guided meditation to help us arrive at the event and engage the best we could. This was led by guest Becky Mitchell of Present Moment Meditation.
