A neutral space for exploring life's big questions
Upcoming Events
“These events are amazing, I love them! Keep it up. They’re making the world better.”
“I enjoyed how relatable each speaker was, I didn’t feel like I required a philosophy degree to attend which was great.”
“It was a chance to talk about real-life topics with people outside of your normal social circle.”
Throughout history, humankind has grappled with life's big questions: Who am I? Does life have a purpose? And how can I make the best use of my finite time?

Our Story
Our Values
Philosophers Yard is driven by our Three Core Values of Curiosity, Creativity, and Community.
Curiosity
We seek to challenge and expand our thinking about ourselves and the world around us, in a respectful manner.
We value open and honest communication, including asking questions and saying when we do not have answers.
Creativity
We act in ways that develop self-understanding and cultivate happiness.
We provide opportunities to explore and use practices that foster greater self-awareness and promote personal growth, and to maintain a safe hub for this exploration to take place.
Community
We value community and are committed to welcoming differences and diversity of thought.
We have zero tolerance for any form of hate speech, discrimination, or violent language, behaviour, or actions.
